PHWT – Your ideal training partner

An interesting history and innovative approach to education leads to an exciting and inspiring educational concept.

The PHWT goes back to a private initiative of representatives of the business community, who set themselves the goal more than 20 years ago of providing young people with an outstanding, practice-oriented qualification program in the region of Northwest Germany. The association of the PHWT member and enterprise group registered association has up-to-date approx. 180 member companies. This is additionally supported from the beginning by DR. JÜRGEN UND IRMGARD ULDERUP STIFTUNG for the promotion of education in the region. Today, the PHWT is sponsored by the non-profit Private Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Technik gGmbH. There are seven shareholders in total: PHWT Mitglieder- und Unternehmensverbund e.V., JÜRGEN UND IRMGARD ULDERUP STIFTUNG, Lemförde – HARTING Stiftung & Co.KG, Espelkamp, Landkreis Diepholz, Stadt Diepholz, Landkreis Vechta, Stadt Vechta.

“Dual study” at the PHWT means that students both complete a university course and have close contact with practical work throughout their studies. Due to the parallel education, the students receive a training allowance from the companies, which gives them financial security.

The academic degree at the end of the university studies, the completed apprenticeship, work experience and early contact with entrepreneurial reality provide PHWT graduates with a high probability of employment.
